Meet Our Student Orientation Assistants!

Get to know our student orientation assistants, who will be guiding our incoming 2016/2017 Vantage College students over this summer!

Hi! I’m Katrina, your student orientation assistant at Vantage College to answer your concerns about student life at UBC. I’m a third year Psychology student who is considering a minor in Commerce. My most memorable things about UBC is getting involved with student politics. Running for positions, working with great teams, and getting to know different people is one of the most rewarding experiences! Being a part of student politics helped me to define my community, and now I'm here to help you with yours. I’m a big fan of music, films, and outdoor events, all of which Vancouver is a great place for, so feel free to contact me and I can definitely share some of my favorite places or just send me a line with any concerns regarding student life or orientations here at UBC.

Hello! I’m Nelly and I’m looking forward to getting in touch with you folks soon in regards to your new exciting adventure with UBC Vantage College in gorgeous Vancouver. I am a UBC student currently pursuing my double major in International Relations and Geography. When I’m not busy with my readings and group work, I like to take walks around the UBC Farm and check out the massive collection at Museum of Anthropology - I’d like to think they’re UBC’s hidden gems! There’s an unlimited opportunity to learn and make memories here, one of my favorite memories have been pulling my first (and last) all nighter talking about life and chasing the sunrise with my best friends, whom I met in first year! First year is the best time to get to know your campus, your city, and your peers so making sure you’re ready for orientation is really important. That’s where we come in- if you have questions and concerns about Jump Start, settling in, various ways of getting involved, and places to explore in the area, don’t hesitate to send them my way. Drop me a line or even just say hi!
