Welcome Back for Term 3 Vantage Students!

We hope you had a fantastic break, and that your final term of Vantage One is off to a good start! This term you can look forward to our visit to the UBC Okanagan campus for the end-of-term academic conference. On July 22nd we will celebrate your transition from Vantage One to the second year of your UBC degree with a pinning ceremony and reception.

This month, we are encouraging you to get involved at UBC, and with the Vancouver community at large! Volunteer opportunities are available with UBC Farm and the Learning Exchange. Email Kathleen Leahy here for opportunities with Learning Exchange. Visit this link for opportunities with UBC Farm. Volunteering offers the rewards of personal growth, work experience, and building connections within your community.

Have you heard the Compass Card is replacing the UBC U-Pass? Compass Card will be active as of June 1st, you can activate your pass as early as May 16th. More here.

Lastly, we would like to welcome Michele Bowers, Registered Psychologist with UBC Vantage College. Michele works collaboratively with Counseling Services at UBC, which offers a variety of services that can help you manage mental health concerns and have the best university experience possible.

Feel free to email with any questions about the information above. Best of luck for term three!
