UBC Vantage students have the option to live on campus, which we highly recommend in your first year of study.
We have reserved campus accommodation for all incoming Vantage students, but in order to maintain your housing guarantee, you must apply for student residence by May 1, 2018.
With 12 residences, eight room types and over 9000 students from 142 countries, UBC features Canada’s largest residence community. By living on campus, you have the opportunity to connect with your peers everyday, try new things, maintain a balance between your academic and social life and most importantly, feel at home in your university.
To apply for student housing, visit the UBC Student Service Centre (SSC) and make sure you complete the 'Preferences' section. Depending on which residence you are assigned, fees will vary. You’ll also have a range of meal plan options to choose from.
There are three UBC residences that are available for Vantage One students. Follow the links below to learn more about them:
The estimated annual cost for campus accomodation and food is $15,000 - $17,000 CAD. For more information about estimated living costs, visit our Program Fees page.
Applying for housing also automatically enrols you in UBC's Jump Start orientation program.
DON'T FORGET: In order to confirm your housing placement, you must formally accept your housing offer via the SSC portal, under the 'Housing and Food' tab.
